ESD - floor cleaning

Most floors are antistatic, but in certain situations shocks can occur. In hospitals, in electronics production facilities, server parks and laboratories, such small shocks can create dangerous situations and/or destroy expensive equipment. In that case, a so-called ESD floor is recommended. ESD stands for Electro Static Discharge or electrostatically conductive in Norwegian. ESD floors are available in several different designs and are defined by a common European standard; EN-1081, EN-1815 and EN-61340.

ESD floors are also called conductive, or conductive, semi-conductive, grounded floors, etc. This floor type is used, for example, in the health and care sector, the electronics industry, the weapons industry and elsewhere to control static-electric dissipation in sensitive areas such as clean rooms and operating theatres.

Correct treatment of ESD floors is necessary

In order for the ESD floor to be able to maintain its properties, it is important that it is properly cleaned and treated correctly. Both methods and chemicals must be adapted to the floor and its functions.

We have extensive experience with cleaning with EPA (Electrostatic Protected Area) ESD floor cleaning and maintenance housing. We know how important it is to keep the area clean and without the possibility of generating static fields and harmful discharges. We offer tailor-made solutions for you as a customer and your needs and challenges.
